About
Global Experience
I grew up between Minnesota and Wisconsin and studied architecture at UW - Milwaukee. After college, I spent a decade living in New York City, San Francisco, and the Netherlands meeting and working with people from across the globe and expanding my perspective on life, purpose, and design.
I’m a blend of all the places I’ve called home: down to earth, straightforward, relaxed, opinionated.
Come Sail Away
One of my favorite summer past times is sailing with family on Lake Minnetonka. I love it for all the reasons you would expect: the sun, the wind, the shouting of commands. Seriously, sailing always underscores the importance of working as a team with the rest of your crew.
Without teamwork, you’re not going to win the race. And you’ll be lucky if you even leave the dock.
Bake Me a Cake
My personal interests are vast, but I’ve always loved baking, especially cakes from scratch. Sure, success lies mostly in my ability to follow directions, which I’ve mastered over the years. But baking is also a major creative outlet for me and allows my sometimes crippling attention to detail to shine.
The details are not the details. They make the design. - Charles Eames
